3. Step-by-Step Installation
3.1 Download the Starlink App & Choose Location
- Scan the QR code on the box or visit the app store to install the Starlink App.
- Use the obstruction tool to find a clear, 360° view of the sky—no trees, poles, or roofs blocking above 20° elevation.
- Confirm your location in the app before drilling.
3.2 Mark & Drill Pilot Holes
- Position the Wedge Mount on your chosen surface.
- Mark the four hole locations with a pencil.
- Drill 6.5 mm (¼ in) pilot holes; deburr and clear debris around each hole.
3.3 Install the Wedge Mount
- Fit rubber washers over each hole.
- Apply silicone sealant to the threads of each machine screw.
- Insert screws through the mount into pilot holes, add washers and lock nuts underneath.
- Tighten with a 7⁄16 in socket to snug plus a ¼ turn—do not overtighten.
3.4 Install Shoulder Bolts & Lock Dish
- Thread the two shoulder bolts into the threaded holes near the cable port on the mount.
- Hand-tighten using the 5⁄32 in hex key until snug.
3.5 Secure the Dish
- Align the dish keyways with the shoulder bolts.
- Push down and slide forward until it locks into place.
- Wet the threads of the remaining two socket head bolts with thread locker.
- Install and tighten these bolts (12.7 mm / ½ in) with a 3⁄16 in hex key to snug plus a ¼ turn—do not overtighten.
3.6 Connect & Lock the Dish Cable
- Plug the Starlink cable into the bottom port of the dish until you hear or feel a click.
- Ensure the latch is fully engaged to prevent moisture ingress.
3.7 Mount the Power Supply
- Mark two pilot holes for the power supply mount, no more than 1.8 m (6 ft) from an AC outlet.
- Drill 8 mm (5⁄16 in) holes, insert wall anchors flush with the surface.
- Screw the mount into anchors until secure.
3.8 Plug In Cables & Power Up
- Connect the dish cable to the power supply port.
- Plug the AC power cable into the power supply.
- Route the Ethernet cable from the power supply to your router or network switch.
- Plug the Ethernet cable into your network device and power on the power supply.
3.9 Finalize Installation & Align Dish
- Open the Starlink App and follow the in-app setup prompts.
- Use the alignment tool if prompted to fine-tune dish orientation.
- Confirm an “Online” status in the app before securing any loose cables and closing out the install.
