What is IsatPhone prepaid airtime?
IsatPhone prepaid airtime is pay-in-advance service for the Inmarsat IsatPhone 2 satellite phone. You buy a voucher of units for your prepaid SIM card, valid for a set period, and use it for calls and messages over the Inmarsat network, with no contract and no monthly bill.
How much does IsatPhone prepaid airtime cost?
Worldwide vouchers cost $180.00 for 100 units (90 days), $359.99 for 250 units (180 days), $650.00 for 500 units, $1,150.00 for 1,000 units, $2,700.00 for 2,500 units and $4,610.00 for 5,000 units (365 days each). Regional vouchers start at $22.00 for 30 units in Sub-Saharan Africa and $280.00 for 300 units in Latin America.
How long are IsatPhone prepaid units valid?
Validity depends on the voucher: 90 days for 100 units, 180 days for 250 units and 365 days for 500 units and above. Regional vouchers are valid 30, 90 or 180 days. You can also add 30 days of validity without units for $60.00.
What happens to my balance when I add a new voucher?
The units are added to your balance, and your balance expiry becomes the later of your current expiry or the new voucher’s validity period. The two periods are not added together, so it is best to recharge near the end of your current validity.
What if my IsatPhone SIM has expired?
Choose the Reactivation after expiry order type on any voucher. It adds $30 to the voucher price and puts your SIM back into service with the new units.
How much is activation for a new IsatPhone SIM?
First activation adds $60 to the voucher price. For example, 100 units with first activation costs $240.00.
Can I replace my SIM and keep my balance?
Yes. The SIM replacement order type adds $100 to the voucher price and transfers your prepaid balance to the new SIM card.
Where does the IsatPhone 2 work?
The IsatPhone 2 uses the Inmarsat satellite network, which covers North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia, and the oceans between them, except the extreme polar regions. Regional vouchers are intended for users in Sub-Saharan Africa or Latin America.
Prepaid or postpaid: which is better for the IsatPhone?
Prepaid suits occasional, seasonal or emergency use: you pay upfront and control your spending. If you call every month, compare our IsatPhone postpaid plans from $82.80 per month.
