Which Starlink plan do you need?
Starlink business plans differ in three ways: where the terminal can be used, how much priority data you get, and what happens after that data is used. Start with where you operate.

When priority data runs out
Every priority plan includes a monthly data allowance. When it is used up, you choose what happens next. Allowances reset at the start of each billing month and unused data does not roll over.

Starlink hardware
Every plan needs a Starlink terminal. We supply, configure and support the full range:
- Starlink Maritime Flat High Performance: permanent installation on yachts and commercial vessels.
- Starlink Performance Gen 3 Kit: rugged terminal for vessels, vehicles and remote sites.
- Starlink Standard Gen3: compact kit for site offices and temporary deployments.
- Satellite Emergency Kit (All-Day): Starlink Mini with battery for off-grid and emergency use.
Already have a terminal? We can activate a previously activated kit on a Global Satellite plan. On the Merchant Vessel Unlimited program, a Starlink Performance kit can be included.
How activation works
- Tell us your requirement. Vessel or site type, operating region and expected monthly data.
- Choose hardware and plan. We recommend a terminal and a Local, Global Priority, PAYG or Unlimited plan.
- We activate and configure. Your terminal is registered, the plan applied and your overage setting chosen.
- We support you. Plan changes, overage settings, troubleshooting and 24/7 support, all through one team.
Monthly plan prices do not include activation, management and support fees, which we quote with your plan.
Starlink plans: frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Local Priority and Global Priority?
Local Priority works only in the country where the terminal is registered, including its territorial waters. Global Priority works worldwide, including international waters and ocean crossings. Local Priority costs less; Global Priority is required for offshore and cross-border operations.
Can I use a Local Priority plan on a boat?
Only within the territorial waters of the country of registration. Service stops once the vessel leaves them. Local Priority plans can be upgraded to Global Priority on request.
What happens when I use all my priority data?
You choose in advance: pay per extra GB, add 25 GB or 250 GB top-up blocks (Global Priority), or continue free at up to 1 Mbps download and 0.5 Mbps upload until your allowance resets next month.
Can I change or pause my plan?
Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated. On Local Priority, downgrades and suspensions take effect at the end of the billing month. PAYG service can be suspended when you don't need it. Cancelling or suspending Global Priority mid-month does not reduce that month's charge.
Which vessels qualify for Merchant Vessel Unlimited?
IMO-registered cargo and tanker vessels. An application is required and Global Satellite confirms eligibility before activation.
Do you support customers outside the United States?
Yes. We support vessels and sites worldwide from offices in the USA, France, Gibraltar, the Cayman Islands and Morocco. Starlink availability and licensing vary by country, so we confirm them before activation.
