2. Recommended Tools

3. Step-by-Step Installation

3.1 Download the Starlink App & Choose Location

  1. Scan the QR code on the box or visit the app store to install the Starlink App.
  2. Use the obstruction tool to find a clear, 360° view of the sky—no trees, poles, or roofs blocking above 20° elevation.
  3. Confirm your location in the app before drilling.

3.2 Mark & Drill Pilot Holes

  1. Position the Wedge Mount on your chosen surface.
  2. Mark the four hole locations with a pencil.
  3. Drill 6.5 mm (¼ in) pilot holes; deburr and clear debris around each hole.

3.3 Install the Wedge Mount

  1. Fit rubber washers over each hole.
  2. Apply silicone sealant to the threads of each machine screw.
  3. Insert screws through the mount into pilot holes, add washers and lock nuts underneath.
  4. Tighten with a 7⁄16 in socket to snug plus a ¼ turn—do not overtighten.

3.4 Install Shoulder Bolts & Lock Dish

  1. Thread the two shoulder bolts into the threaded holes near the cable port on the mount.
  2. Hand-tighten using the 5⁄32 in hex key until snug.

3.5 Secure the Dish

  1. Align the dish keyways with the shoulder bolts.
  2. Push down and slide forward until it locks into place.
  3. Wet the threads of the remaining two socket head bolts with thread locker.
  4. Install and tighten these bolts (12.7 mm / ½ in) with a 3⁄16 in hex key to snug plus a ¼ turn—do not overtighten.

3.6 Connect & Lock the Dish Cable

  1. Plug the Starlink cable into the bottom port of the dish until you hear or feel a click.
  2. Ensure the latch is fully engaged to prevent moisture ingress.

3.7 Mount the Power Supply

  1. Mark two pilot holes for the power supply mount, no more than 1.8 m (6 ft) from an AC outlet.
  2. Drill 8 mm (5⁄16 in) holes, insert wall anchors flush with the surface.
  3. Screw the mount into anchors until secure.

3.8 Plug In Cables & Power Up

  1. Connect the dish cable to the power supply port.
  2. Plug the AC power cable into the power supply.
  3. Route the Ethernet cable from the power supply to your router or network switch.
  4. Plug the Ethernet cable into your network device and power on the power supply.

3.9 Finalize Installation & Align Dish

  1. Open the Starlink App and follow the in-app setup prompts.
  2. Use the alignment tool if prompted to fine-tune dish orientation.
  3. Confirm an “Online” status in the app before securing any loose cables and closing out the install.
